Dr. Steffanie Nemitz-Kohn
Dr. Steffanie has always had a heart for helping people even at a young age.
Growing up in Bloomington, WI she always knew that she wanted to bring a
unique approach to health care to small town Wisconsin. After practicing in
Madison for a little over a year she had to get back to where her heart was
and the community of Benton provided that opportunity.
Dr. Steffanie’s journey and commitment to health started as a young athlete.
Her commitment to pursuing excellence eventually led her to play college
basketball at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, in Menomonie, WI where she
received her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition. Her passion for athletics
eventually turned into a passion for health and a calling to help people live to
their fullest potential with her motto being, “Do something today that our future self will thank you for.”
Chiropractic became the obvious choice to live out that passion, as she had
been adjusted regularly since 10 years old, experiencing the benefits of
having a healthy spine and nervous system, recovering quickly from injuries
and sickness. She suffered from ear infections a good portion of her life and
chiropractic care was the missing piece of the puzzle. She strives to provide
individuals and families the opportunity to lead and enjoy healthier lives
through chiropractic and helping individuals identify stressors in their lifestyle
that could be contributing to the root cause of their health concerns.
Dr. Steffanie and her husband Brian brought their sweet daughter Sofie Rae
to the world in January of 2022. Dr. Steffanie and her family are active
travelers making trips to the Northwoods to spend time with family and friends
as well as love locally enjoying the trails, aquarium, parks and pools. If they
are not outside doing something as a family they have a love for music.
Moana soundtrack as well as Lion King are family favorites! Dr. Steffanie
provides you with care unlike any other, she takes the time to sit and listen to
your story and helps you make a new plan of attack so that story becomes a
new story. She looks forward to being part of your health care team.
Dr. Bailee Meier
Dr. Bailee graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic Davenport in 2022. She was born and raised in Northeast Iowa and yes, she does cheer for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Chiropractic was introduced to Dr. Bailee at a young age, as she would attend chiropractic appointments with her grandma. She was originally amazed by all the cracks and pops that came with each adjustment, but fell in love with the impact it made and the life it gave back to her grandma. First-hand she saw the power of the human body and its ability to heal with the guidance of chiropractic care. In those moments, Bailee knew she wanted to be the one that could help people get back to their best life and doing the things they love..
Dr. Bailee loves caring for pregnant women and is passionate about helping kiddos reach their milestones. She is Webster Certified and is always working towards continuing her education. In her free time, she enjoys checking out local farmer’s markets, tending to her many plants, being a dog momma to her husky, Bruno, and spending time outdoors with her fiance, Keane.
Janell Heston
Wellness assistant, Janell Heston, welcomes patients with her warm smile and a happy hello. Her mission is to lead customer satisfaction and provide service with integrity, kindness, and courtesy to help each and every one of our patients have a positive experience here at Be Rooted. She is proud and honored to be a part of this team of professional ladies who provide such passionate care, support, and knowledge to this wonderful rural area she loves to call home.
In her spare time, she enjoys the beauty of nature and all it has to offer. EVERY sunset is her favorite. She adores family time, especially with her love Nick, and her fur kids, Miley and Louis! She is excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your family and becoming your familiar face and voice as you journey along with our supportive team to reach your life goals.
Emily Groom
Office Assistant, Emily Groom, graduated from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, FL, with a bachelor's degree in Medical Office Administration in 2021. Born and raised in Dubuque, IA, until her loving husband brought her to small town, Benton, WI.
She has a passion for helping others and is always eager to learn more about the health of our bodies and how to improve them naturally. She will always greet you with a smile and will do her best to help you get the care that you need. She is truly blessed to have been given the opportunity to meet and be a part of the people in the Benton community.
In her spare time, you may find her and her husband, Noah, walking around the Leadmine area just enjoying the sunshine and God's beautiful creation.
